## Venue description

The Green Shed is a beautiful quiet space in Muswell Hill. London, N10. It’s not really a shed at all. It’s a high specification garden room that I had built in about 2003 for my studio. We’ve always just called it the shed. It sits alongside apple trees and a giant fig tree in my garden on Tetherdown, Muswell Hill. The scrapbook workshops are great fun and I also do children’s craft parties which are lovely.

Children never ask for it and I provide water and cups. Children will be asked to remove their shoes in the Shed so shoes that that can easily put on by themselves would be helpful. I ask the children not to scream or yell too much in the garden as it’s a residential area and appreciate it if you can help with this. If there’s time the children can be in the garden for about 15 minutes when they’ve finished making and while they’re waiting for food. They can be very excitable during this time (whether inside or outside) and so it really helps if parents/helpers can keep them entertained for a few minutes with word games etc.
